Meet a Tarbut Member - Zoe Barkan
This is Zoe Barkan. Zoe is 26 years old and lives in Nahariya –
a town in the north periphery of Israel.
When did you first join Tarbut Movement?
I joined Tarbut through a year of pre-army service, which I did in a boarding school called Kadoorie. I've guided dance groups and film groups.
How long do you live in Nahariya?
I live in Nahariya for 5 years now with my community.
What do you do today?
I teach dance, and I perform as a part of an ensemble called 'Bridges', which is an Arab-Jewish dance ensemble guided by Rabea Murkus Rubi – the establisher of the first and only course for dance in Arab high-schools, in cooperation with Tarbut Movement.
What are you looking forward to?
The Dance Biennale and Choreographed Parade in Lion which 'Bridges' is going to participate in in September.
Yeah, don't miss it!
